The Vanished Street Sweeper
A scene painted purely from imagination. The street sweepers cart was added later to give interest that was otherwise lacking in the centre of the scene. I find I keep coming back to this idea of a lane descending down stairs through an arch, for some reason. Lots of strong colours in this.
The Vanished Street Sweeper belongs to the following groups:

Superbly painted, and a fine subject for a children’s illustration/short story.
Very good work!

this is lovely, I feel I could just wander down the little alley. It feels very cosy and comforting and would make a story illustration
