The inverted cross is also known as the Cross of St Peter.
This is an image taken by NASA of the Tarantula Nebula.
The Tarantula Nebula (also known as 30 Doradus, or NGC 2070) is an H II region in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). It was originally thought to be a star, but in 1751 Nicolas Louis de Lacaille recognized its nebular nature.
Please note that images of space taken by NASA are in the public domain.
This image of the Tarantula Nubula (not as an inverted cross) is also available as an iPhone case! Available in my portfolio.
