Pain
Featured in C.O.R.E. 11/12/09
This is a repost of an ink / brush / drawing. I am coupling it with a repost of a poem. The poem is about what I felt/flashbacks and the rush of the drugs they’d shoot me with to sedate me when my head couldn’t be controlled.
.
.
Liquid Heaven
.
Shaking without breath
Back where I can’t control
Leaning toward my death
Battered brains console
.
Filling the years
Nothing appears
Keep rabbit ears
For souvenirs
.
EXHALE
.
Black scabs heal
Bloods congeal
Love’s surreal
So ideal
.
INHALE
.
The needles thrust
Sanities combust
It’s fucking unjust
But it’s all that I trust
.
Mind isn’t my mind
I don’t feel anymore
My life’s maligned
Liquid heaven’s my core
.

Image reflects excruciating pain. Awesome rendition !!
It’s fucking unjust only begins to express it.
Got through it all somehow to TODAY! Live it, okay?
Cassidy JK (Ra... replied 18 days ago
...as you know my friend. It is TODAY…and new day, an almost new life. xoxo

Very powerful pairing of words and image Cassidy. But your life now takes this marvelous new turn and today you create the karma for tomorrow. This image is so profound – it touches me deeply.

Luckily the image and poems are both reposts. Thank you so much Lianne.

you share such deep and painful experiences with us, i hope that you find peace in a pair of brown eyes, that your talents get recongised and you move on and move up…...as one of the professions that work in health care, i hope that they treated you with deep respect…......not sure if you will find my piece helpful or deeply miserable but the spiders grip might give you another perspective, any one take care
Cassidy JK (Ra... replied 18 days ago
Thank you my friend. If you read my most recent journal you will see how my life has been changing. It’s a positive wonderful thing. As for my care givers…they have always treated me with respect. I’ve been lucky. I have had bad experiences while in care, but nothing like some of the stories I’ve heard from others. I will look at spiders grip. Thank you for your kind words!

one of the most beautiful, poignants and painful arts i ever saw…
i could say more, but i’ll keep it for me, but very few times art pieces made me feel how i’m feeling now. it’s a mix of terrible feelings with great admiration. with this work you pull the ground off and leave us in painful perplexity, without knowing what to say for few minutes… almost gasping. at least it’s how i feel.
it’s is remarkable when an artist guides you through his own feelings so magisterially.
that’s what you do.

Excellent drawing, powerful concept, and the hidden face under the agonized hand says so much about how we suffer in silence and try to hang on to the last shreds of our dignity.
