Yes, Lois you can actually climb up into the large opening if you are agile enough. That is where I stood to take the “Indian Shrine” and “Holy Rock” shots. Looking to the right through the small hole. And sadly, there has been some stupid people over the years that have done damage to it. The colors you see were traced over the original faint markings by some “Movie” group who was doing a film of some type in the Park. They wanted to give the markings more impact!
