Fairy Ring
The second in this series representing natures cycle of life. A fairy ring being the circle of mushrooms that show where the underground body of a fungus grows outwards. Forming an ever increasing outward circle like ripples on the forest floor. The inner circle with lines radiating is symbolic of the parent mushroom, natures cycle of life and energy, and the starting point of natures evolution.
I’ve achieved a bright stained glass effect by painting in a cellular style that I’ve worked in for some time, and applying a single wash of acrylic paint over the white of the canvas board. This results in a large degree of light reflection from the surface.
