The Beach II
13 February 2008. The Beach at Silverknowes Edinburgh. The tide is out and the sun is heading to the West. To the right of the background is Cramond Island, you can walk out to the Island across the causeway when the tide is out. The Spiky bits running from the island to the shoreline were put there during WWII to stop submarines approaching up the River Forth to target the Forth Rail Bridge and the Naval Base at Rosyth.

another lovely picture from you it really is however just a wee thing i might have done would be to rid of the people in the background with a software like GIMP but then perhaps you wanted the people to stay just my opinion thats all i find them a tad distracting from your wonderful wavey sand and whispy sky. Your clarity and angle of picture is spot on as is always with your pictures :o) i do love your pictures.
