‘Oheo Gulch, on Maui, is the place I go and camp in my tent, when the congestion of modern-day life gets me down. ’Oheo is spiritual, full of life, and will energize one’s soul.
I made this image in near darkness, after all the tourists had gone home. I layered 5 long exposures — from about 4 seconds to a minute, or more. The place is difficult to capture by camera, but I think I have come close on this one.
A large canvas of ’Oheo Twilight hangs in my own home.
