Sometimes you just have to let go. Sometimes there’s a piece that has just been in the sunshine for too long and its appeal has faded.
And so to my redbubble collection I took a spring cleaning(for its always spring somewhere in the world).
I think its also important too when you have reached a new stage, direction or understanding of your own work. You change, and so your work changes and your old work just isn’t you any more. Just like that pink tshirt you bought a couple of years ago when testicle pink was all the rage in men’s fashion…
But at least here the art can return… (not that there was any danger of me wanting my testicle pink tshirt back).

I agree – I sift through my writing and hide pieces, but on occasion have deleted them when they no longer sit well in my heart. It can be confronting, but sooooo cleansing. As for the dreaded pink, well, I wish the period when that was fashionable could be deleted from my memory entirely! Yeuch…..

yes we all need to move along and on and through things. sometimes though if you can hide them away for long enough….they lose their power and don’t make you blush any more, they just become strange interesting things of the past (except for that pink thing)
