Peoples' libertation star T-Shirt

Peoples' libertation star

blood drips from the star of the Peoples’ Liberation Army, symbolising the shed blod of Tibetan refugees (see my writing “evidence”).

By way of description and prompted by Cayannagirl, the symbols in the centre of the star are “ba-yi” and can be explained thus: the first character is “8”. This equates to August. The second one is “1” (seen if you look at the image sideways).

This refers to the first of August, the date of the Nanchung uprising of 1927 which was the first big battle of the Chinese Civil War.

Peoples' libertation star belongs to the following groups:

A Free Tibet, ART ACTION UNION - CREATIVE ACTIVISM, Live, Love, Dream: May you have a Blessed Christmas Season , Shameless Self-Promotion, The Scots are Coming and War Available for sale as

This is awesome…what does the symbol mean?

  • Ranald replied

Thanks. Ast to the symbols, if you turn the image (which is shown the correct way here) to the left by 90 degrees, you see the character “1*”. The first character is “8*”. This means August the first. It refers to the Nanchung uprising of 1927 which was the first big battle of the Chinese Civil War.
