Happy new year to you all. Thanks for all the comments of late. I will get round to replying when I get home. Right now I am using my mobile phone and am in the Highlands. It is snowing, heavily. Great for photos but we haven’t been able to move far. It is also cold, it hot down to -17 the other day. My lens kept frosting over. Goodness only knows why the diesel wasn’t frozen.

Dyke and fence at Witchie Knowe in the national paper

Hey wow! My picture of one of my favorite places in the Borders (Witchie Knowe) was printed (ye, printed) in The Scotsman newspaper on Wednesday 25th March. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the paper that day!!!!

Anyway, it appears online as the 7th picture in the slideshow so I am still chuffed.

Robert Burns, 250 today! Campaigner and activist, he wrote against slavery with works such as “A man’s a manfor a’ that” and “Slave’s lament”.

Sad day for the environment

Well, another wildlife crime to report I am affraid. This time, government and Reporter instigated.

Donald Trump has been given consent by John Swinney MSP (John.Swinney.msp@scottish.parliament.uk) to rape the dunes of Balmedie beach and build 500 houses, a hotel, holiday homes and 2 golf courses. The environment is not as important as profit it seems.
