recession in Europe.
The new Greek government is to introduce emergency taxation on tzatziki and humus.
It is, therefore, officially a double dip recession.
Oh dear! (Part 2)
The insurance company decided to pay for my dear departed GX-20 and 28-300 lens. I took their first offer. Oh dear. Ishould have told them there was no way I could replace the equipment for that price. Ah well.
Still, I’ve ordered a replacement camera. My Pentax K5 is (I hope) on its way right now from Germany. Now I just need to get a lens. Perhaps an 18-270 if I can’t get a 2…
oh dear!
Would be the polite way of putting it. On a trip round the Highlands. Dropped my camera. 28-300 lens not focussing. Ok, I can live with that, just, because of the other lenses. Then the camera starts doing its own thing. It won’t power off after 1 minute like it is set to, it switches formats without warning, the exposures are all over the place in aperture priority.

Dyke and fence at Witchie Knowe in the national paper
Hey wow! My picture of one of my favorite places in the Borders (Witchie Knowe) was printed (ye, printed) in The Scotsman newspaper on Wednesday 25th March. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the paper that day!!!!
Anyway, it appears online as the 7th picture in the slideshow so I am still chuffed.
Featured on the BBC
Woo hoo!!! Kilchattan dawn was featured on the BBC Scotland website “Your pictures of Scotland” gallery for this week. I submitted it last night so they work fairly quickly.
