Nice capture Ranald,
Neat lighting
Ranald replied
Thanks Jeremy. The sun had just slid below the hill but still gives a nice touch I think.
Caterpillar
Wow, very impressive!
Ranald replied
Thanks Kasia. I have often wondered if ours is the only flag which ever appears in the sky.
Friederike Ale...

Oh Wow Who did you steal this from? Far too good for you
Ranald replied
I am sorry, did you say something? ;-)
NateJohnson
Beautiful, when I look at it it seems as if it is moving…
Ranald replied
Thanks Nate. I hoped that would happen but it really was only a hope. I am delighted that you see it.
chijude
This is stunning. Directed to your site by Andygii. Wow
Ranald replied
Thank you! He’s a star is Andy (a disa-star)!
chijude
I am sure he is waiting to see what your comment would be!!
Ranald replied
Maybe he’ll get round to it once he’s finished fluffing up his tutu.
chijude
We can only hope … I think he put his tutu away for his latest Gairdner shot.
Terry Mooney
superb Ranald, absolutely cracking sky, you can almost feel the temperature.
Ranald replied
Thanks Terry. It was a cold one.

Excellent image!
What’s the chance of this happening again with such a beautiful backdrop!
Ranald replied
Fairly high possibly Paul but, worthwhile going back to make sure ;-)
MrJoop
Excellent catch. I agree with Paul and the others (Except the one about stealing it.).
Ranald replied
Thank you. Andy’s comment about me pinching it is nothing to worry about. You should see the comments that fly between us. It’s just banter.
Braedene

Amazing picture, Ranald – at the right moment at the right place!
Ranald replied
Aye, sure was. A few weeks before I stopped there to make sure my canoe would stay on the car and not get blown towards the ridge!

Thanks again Tom.

As I said to David (below) it was nothing like that at 10.30 this morning! Couldn’t see the hill tops.
David McMahon
Perfect timing, Ranald.
Ranald replied
Thanks David. I can assure you it was nothing like this when I went past at 10.30 this morning. 8 octars it was.
madworld
Instant favourite, this is wonderful, great timing with the light.
Ranald replied
Thanks. You’re a star. I wanted to stop and get some more shots this morning (can you believe I was only about 16km from here and never went there except on the way home?) but the weather was sooooo poor.
tayforth
Cracking capture wee brother, proves you should always always have a camera on you.
Ranald replied
Ah you’re back! I think I took this one in November (seems fitting). You couldn’t see the hills yesterday. Camera goes everywhere. Lost without it.
Graeme Pettit ...
Super timing and exposure. Brilliantly taken and well spotted
Ranald replied
Thanks again Graeme. The under-exposure was done on purpose.
Jayne Logan
Superb
Ranald replied
Thanks Jayne (and for the favourite too).
awdigitaldreams
Stunning!
Ranald replied
Thanks. It’s quite sad but a couple of RAF guys lost their lives just about 400m from here the other week. Their tornado flew into the hillside. Still, if you are going to go, there are few nicer spots.
