Every photograph that has been taken and every photograph that is yet to be taken is a moment in time. A moment in time that is gone forever. Through the wonderful invention we call the camera we can capture a fleeting moment in time, one we can hold on to and view any time we wish. In a way a camera is a time machine, but only into the past, but the past is all we really have, that’s what life is. When I look at my photos I’m always transported right back to that moment when I snapped the shutter. The sad part of this is the longing, the longing to be there again,to relive that moment. I love images, my images your images all images. It really is a wonderful invention, one I hope we never take for granted. So to all you time travelers out there keep capturing those moments, keep looking back.

I totally agree Chuck. I’m transported back and can hear the sounds, smells, thoughts just about everything that was happening in that “moment” I pushed the button on that capture. I’m so happy that so late in life I finally found “my passion”. And all it took was one little red puppy to lead me to it. With everything going on in this world (and my life) I would have lost it if I didn’t have a way to “get away from it all” by going out and shooting. Thank goodness I found photography!!!

I love my cameras! Your words are so true Chuck. We become time travellers, always looking into the pass and always our fingers on the button to capture the future. The memories we create are amazing, and more so when they are shared, apprecaited and enjoyed. Thankyou for sharing Chuck:=]

Agree Chuck, Some images make me want to travel to the future (so I can capture for the past) and others bring on nostalgia. Cameras are wonderful :)

I like looking back at some of my old images and wish I was there again. Sometimes, it does give me the urge to visit the same place again to see what changes have taken place and to document any differences between the past and present images. Otherwise they bring back good memories to cherish.
