One morning when my son was quite young, I took him up the mountain. It was still dark when we arrived. I found a place with a view and set up my tripod and 4×5 camera and went back to my truck and waited. As we sat there we talked and he said what are we gonna take a picture of dad? I told him he would have to wait and see. As the light got brighter we walked over to the camera. I looked out over the valley and saw this image. I composed the shot on the ground glass, my son asked if he could look through the camera. I lifted him up and he looked at the image, “it’s upside down!” I told him that was how the camera worked. He asked if he could take the picture and I said yes. I handed him the cable release and he snapped the shutter, this photo is the result. It was and still is a special moment to me,one I will remember because of this photo….Enjoy.
