Nikon D3 70-200 vr
A lucky catch early one morning a couple of weeks ago during a hailstorm.
One of our two alpacas ,Wal just dropped and deceided to sit it out. They usually run for the cover of the trees or shed. They are both sporting two year old coats and will be shorn early this summer so they are having a reasonably comfortable winter ,
which is a unusually cold and wet one this year.
hope some enjoy
cheers

I love the plump body, his/her thick coat, the look on the face and the snow falling looks so ethereal, almost like little fairy lights, just lovely :)
Stunning, snow like beauty!
Thanks for the comments ,the hails stones do look like it’s snowing..not that i have ever seen snow down this way as cold as it does get at times :)

Its not just luck Ralph, your composition is great that makes your image work. Congratulations for being featured too!
Great capture… also thought it was snow! I must try the hailstones next time.
Thank you all,it is good to be able to capture something that doesn’t take planning or setting up ,even better having others enjoy it as well .
