This image was taken in Chewton at the Garfield Wheel. The stone work used to hold a wheel that I believed turned and transported the gold from the mine below. It was the largest of its kind in Australia, during its operation in the 1800’s, today only the stone remains. The back ground was added in Photoshop CS3 as was the daffodils. I am still very much a beginner and this is one of my experiments.

Photography gives me the opportunity to take in a scene that I might not see if I had not had my camera with me. It gives me an extra eye and the time to stop and smell the roses – and then take a photo of them!
