Notre Dame Gargoyle 1
I love gargoyles, and the best of the species are the ones on Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris. This was drawn in 2002 with Faber Castell Polychromos graphic pencils, on watercolor paper to make the texture rougher for the weathered stone.

It looks like the whole piece is etched in stone….not drawn in pencil. Extremely effective.

Thank you – that´s the reason I used rough watercolor paper to get the effect. Glad it seemed to have worked.
