These kids and their shovel-wielding teacher were crossing a foot bridge in Lucerne, Switzerland. I took this with a 2.4 megapixel camera and worked with it enlarged to get a painted look without obvious pixelization.

Thanks, Kimberly! I was snapping the shutter constantly that day. I like the blurred feet of the girls in front. They were definitely looking forward to something.

Children and animals are such great subjects for candid enthusiastic shots. You captured their sense of adventure and joy beautifully. Great setting and I love the painterly image. I would love to be running with them in Lucerne sharing this experience with my friends and their imaginative teacher. These are the experiences that become precious memories. Wonderful capture of those happy feet. I agree. The blurred effect shows the high level of excitement and action enhancing this wonderful image.
