Great shot, comp and tonage, what would have been on the menu, some soda bread?

  • ragman replied

meat, potatoes and two veg for the evening meal, and if the wife had the time a slice or two of freshly baked soda bread or wheaten and probably a glass of brown lemonade and a cup of tea

Lovely, fit for a king, I never heard of brown lemonade before.

  • ragman replied

we have red, brown and white lemonade as long ago as sixty years plus; that is not counting all the flavours and colours we have had since that

I love the simplicity of life that this reminds us of.
That reading was important that news was important and that clenliness was important but that peace was important.
I like the idea too of red brown & white lemonade
red was raspberry flavoured and coloured with cochineal, brown was creamy soda with vanilla and cinnamon flavouring and a touch of caramel in it and white was clear and lemony – I worked in a pioneer settlement here in Australia and these were what we created for the tourists, we also had Lime soda which when created had the skins in it to try and turn it green! :O) finally they turned the bottles green instead!
    B R A V O !!! :O)
