Kieran Sturgeon

Kieran is relatively new to the medium of paint but has been an avid drawer since he could walk. It wasn’t until a fortuitous trip to a local fish and chip shop, and a gallery next to it, that he began his adventures in the land of painting. Through the interconnectivity of the universe Kieran eventually found himself under the guidence of Deb Gillett. Just as Mr Miyagi helped to develop Danielsan’s inner martial artist in the Karate Kid, Deb Gillett is slowly dragging out the painter in Kieran (kicking and screaming on occassions).
Having drawn for so long, Kieran is new to colour and cannot help but get a lot of it in his paintings. Kieran is currently interested in the human form, colour, musicians and images from his formative years.
