This image is just a “fly on the wall” perspective of where a lot of women feel they have to nurse their children, all for the sake of modesty.

These are all so powerful images and I totally “get” what you are trying to say being a mother of two young children myself. Wonderful thought provoking images, well done.

I have had to do this. It pissed me off then, and it still pisses me off. It’s so wrong to criminalize breast feeding in public. Men don’t mind it if a woman wants to show her boobs for a few bucks in a strip club though

Great statement, and I agree with what you’re saying!

This is a great image. My wife is not only a nursing mother but a LLL. group leader. We live in very rural area and spend a lot of time trying to raise awareness not only about nursing but childseat safty, Vacciene awarness, And the importance of a solid family unit. I have seen a lot of your work and i am a huge fan. I should also not that i am a stay at home father and cherrish every moment with my children.

Kudos to you and your intuitive nature! How is the stay at home father thing panning out? Pros? Cons?

I always refused to go to the toilets to feed my children and had to say on several occasions to the objecter “would you like to eat your dinner in a public toilet?” ooh it makes my blood boil!

I have never had to do this. I proudly fed all my babies out in public when called for. I had no trouble telling those off with a problem with it. (And I am a person who avoids conflict) I was always ‘discreet’. No one ever saw anything. My child’s comfort was/is my first concern. Sad that we live in such upside down society. There are now family restrooms in many public places. Comfort private nursing stalls, TV, books, clean changing stations and sofas.. Some even have toys and microwaves. Can’t wait to see more of these all over. Nursing mothers have enough stress….nursing should never be one of them!
Sorry for the rant.

what an incredible image!

What a brilliant statement this shows, I am one of those mothers who sits endlessly feeding my baby in a toilet so the idiots in the restaurant/shops/world don’t get offended by the sight of a head near my top and occasional slurping noises, it’s such a shame that society is this way.
