taken off the back of our train somewhere through the plains of USA…

Leaving It All Behind

I’m leaving on the next train to freedom
Your heart has kept me captive for too long
You think that I won’t leave until you tell me
so before I go I’m writing you this song.

We spent years building up this friendship
but you know I built it mostly by myself
You didn’t care enough to help but I loved you
Now it’s time to put it on the shelf.

I want to leave you far behind me
to get you out of heart and mind
I may be the best you’ll ever have
but you won’t be the best I’ll ever find.

You made sure to give less than expected
so I would have nothing I might repay
You told me that I owe you nothing
but then you stand there begging me to stay.

I’m leaving on the next train to freedom
Your heart has kept me captive for too long.
You think I can’t leave until you let me
As in so, so many ways, my love,… you are wrong.

Very nice, I love the sky and you can just feel the training moving leaving this place behind! Great title too.

  • I used the orton effect with this one. It was kinda dreamy looking already but I thought the orton really gave it that feeling. Thanks for the comment:)
