My Daughter Kyra

This is a poem that I wrote for my daughter.

My Daughter Kyra belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and Seachanges

I look at you and I see my own eyes.
I hug you and I feel your eyelashes on my cheek.
You grab my hand knowing that I will protect you.
I lay awake and watch you sleeping.
I smell your hair and thank God for you.
You are the breath of beauty and the voice of reason.
You are my daughter and I am proud.
My child is a gift to my life and a growing root to my soul.
