With a metro population of over 12 million, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh is one of the most populous and dense in the world. Rapid growth here however, is still underway. This year Dhaka observes its 400th anniversary…here I grew up… lived my most of the life, with love-learned to live, love and dream… my city of joy.

    Almost like coming into the airport at night – I love your use of shadow and contrasts – I can’t imagine living in a place where 12 million others are in such close proximity! wow

    this is the reality, my concern is, its growing more vertically then horizontal, and if there is any big earthquake, I can’t imagine more.. Thanks for your concerns.

    Wow Rabi. Very interesting image. I am particularly interested in how you blended the colors, and if the colors are of any specific significance. Before reading the description and title, the image somehow made me think of a flag, money, and metal doodads.

    This particular image is done in a software called “ArtRage”. color significance; by gold I wanted show Down town, by greenish-mid town and copper- old town. I chose metallic colors because i want to see my art as souvenir of Dhaka, the city of Joy. thank you for interest in my art.
