"Man's Best Friend" "Shelby"
Hunting pheasants on the prairies of North Dakota with my brothers dog Shelby, we both decided we needed a break after a long hard push. I don’t know who was more tired her or me! Both our tongues were hanging out! Just shortly after this she did a beautiful point on a rooster and the game was on! Down the pheasant went and started running. She was all over the place but the bird finally stopped and she retrieved it! Truly they are “Man’s Best Friend”
A side note for you hunters and non hunters out there. The dog is a Brittany, and the gun is a model 59 Winchester with a fiberglass barrel.
