Artist's Description

Cast in AD 771 by King Hyegong in honor of his grandfather, it is one of the oldest extant bells in Korea. It was said it could be heard 40 miles away on a clear day. It is a masterpiece of Silla Kingdom Bronze work. It is now in the National museum in Gyeongju.
