    superb capture Carol

  • thanks gareth … such an opportunity – could easily have missed, turn your head the wrong way instead of looking upstream as you cross a little bridge with bush all around – what luck!

Egads! Green with envy! What kind of lens are you using? Must get one….I have about given up on my Great Blue Heron…sick of his teasing me! I do have millions of Sandhill Crane images, but they are like pets….very docile! Excellent work !!

  • Shot with my trusty Sigma 70-200mm lens and processed in Raw. I think this is my new favourite picture. I can’t believe how good it turned out myself! LOL!!

fantastic shot, looks like you’ve been hiking a lot to take these pictures. this has come out very sharp despite shooting at 300mm

  • I did move up very slowly on them … once they got used to my presence it was okay even if I was still a fair way away … shooting in raw certainly made a difference I think … thanks for your comment shane :)
