Poetry in a macro ! so hard to see…Superb !
poetry in macro… yes! that covers the essence of this little guy perfectly :)
Carol, you’re creating a new realm called The Land Above And Beyond Macro. Because this isn’t macro per se; we’re not suddenly privy to a micro-world via close-up and magnification. Instead, we’re privy to miniscule auras and tiny vital tensions by means of your hyper-acute photographic sensors, human and technical. It’s not so much that we see what we didn’t see before as it is we sense what we didn’t sense before in this insect-and-flower dimension of earthly life.
Wow… wot a wonderful summing up of your impression… comments like this help me to keep the faith… I personally think there’s more to this bit of photo-art than pixeled mirroring but then I made it… maybe it helps that the circumstances of crawling round in a garden in the middle of the town with my wee nikon, with a friend who was doing likewise with her longer lens camera, both of us stalking a lone bee determinedly trying to get about his business around this big hand, laughing together coz my hand kept getting into her view and her body kept getting into my way.. I swear the little bee visited every single flower in that big plot before giving us the bee’s rush.
