Spend much time in these establishments for research Jim?
Very nice work. You’ll have to show us more in a journal entry when the book comes out.

Well, I’ll probably add a few more of these as the days go by and i was thinking I may do a calendar with them here on the bubble at some point.
... and no, unfortunately I haven’t set foot in any of the 100 or so pubs there are in Hastings, all were from old photographs, dammit!

Cheers Shanina, I don’t know about the Force, the last few days have been more of a Farce. Getting there slowly but surely: )

Hope you have a bit of time up your sleeve, actually it would make it quite interesting to visit each pub before you work on it…or maybe not lol!

Excellent pen and ink drawing.
You are brave to use ink, as there is no scope for mistakes!
quigonjim replied
Thanks Colin. I use a combination of traditional pen and dip ink, technical pens and a brush occasionally. It all depends on what part of the illustration I’m doing at the time: )

Interesting info. The lines are beautifully straight. Which is something I can’t do in my paintings very well, as my hands shake too much!

This is great, I’ve never been very good at drawing architecture so naturally I’m incredibly impressed by anyone who is.

Thanks a lot Damien… it’s all about the perspective!
