Springtime was unusually rainy and windy, too, and I found myself using my Olympus Stylus 1200 super macro in combination with the “sports” setting compensated for the breezes that set the flowers in motion. I quite love the color of these tulips.

The colour is fantastic, I agree…and great job on the macro! So hard to do on a windy day. And this is a beautiful reminder that despite all the snow and cold now, spring is on its way!

  • Thanks! I know, I just checked the weather forecast, and we’re due for cold, snow and blowing snow, today. Seems like it never ends. Pictures of summer are so…reassuring. Hope you’re having good weather!

It’s supposed to get better here…it has been snowing for a week…we’re running out of places to pile it when we shovel, and it has been cold, too, although we are actually supposed to get above 0 later this week.

  • Supposed to get up to 4 above on Friday, I think. I sure can’t lift the shovel high enough for meaningful snow clearance. I do think we’ve traded the cold for the snow, since we’ve gotten more cloud cover (and snow) than they’d expected. Worth it, I think. Good luck! :)
