This time of year, the most beautiful flowers in my garden are weeds. Thistles are my favorites, I think. I love the light purple color, the patterns of the buds, and the bold green leaves and branches. The thorns, not so much. Pretty to look at, but don’t touch! A lot of nature is that way. There were times in my life when I felt that way. “I’m beautiful, but dangerous,” the thistle says. “Don’t touch me!”
