Many thanks to everybody viewing vertical valley! This shot is from the alley side of the building so not many people see this angle. The building is approx. eleven stories tall and has cool features from the street side that is on my checklist to capture-coming soon. Anyway just wanted to add a little fyi and thank everybody for viewing this shot.

Ron, I hadn’t noticed this in your portfolio before; it’s such a strong and impressive shot! The whole comp is powerful, and the blue windows against the orange just adds intensity. Really nice!

  • Ron Quick replied

As always thanks for the kind comment Kevin! This is probably one of my favorite captures just an unassuming corner of a building in an alley that most people never see.

  • Barbara Glatzeder

love the play of the blue and the orange, you certainly have an eye for unusual colours! lifts your work from the majority of architectural abstracts I have seen :-)

  • Ron Quick replied

Thanks Barbara for the wonderful & supportive comment! Yes, I do like color and yet I admire b/w photos but just cant make myself desaturate color pics or shoot in b/w too many wonderful & vibrant colors that need captured-thanks again!

Hey Ron, I like how the building emerges from the darkness. The lines and texture also work well, as does the off centre symmetry.
