Aptenia cordifolia is native to the Eastern Coastal Plains of South Africa. This charming plant makes an excellent ground cover. Often reaching a spread of 60 cm or more in the growing season. Blooming Time: Spring-Autumn. Flowers are 2.5 cm across, purplish red and resemble daisies. I photographed this little Brakvygie in Orania , Northern Cape, South Africa. Indigenous to South Africa

Sometimes I visit another town or province; and then my Canon EOS 550D works overtime.
