Frozen Wings... Free State, South Africa

Artist's Description

I took a walk in the fields the other morning to seek for frozen droplets to capture… Yes there were plenty, for we had a very cold night… minus 4 degrees C. I came upon this dragonfly that seems to have frozen to death! Later when it was warmer I went to have a look how it has changed… he was GONE!!! I have only two conclusions… Or he was breakfast to a bird, or he defrosts and went on with his life like a bee does. Can anyone give me a clarification of this happening?
