I’m just a tyrant amongst the thieves.
A set of eyes amongst the leaves.
A clever disguise is upon my face.
With a strange cocktail I’m about to taste.
There’s a lie between the truth,
As the old become the youth.
But I’ll stay strong and avoid the disease,
‘Cause I’m just a tyrant amongst the thieves.
The bricks that surround me are all stained.
Stained with the blood of what the labourers had gained.
Suddenly the gift of life is brought to its knees,
‘Cause I’m just a tyrant amongst the thieves.
The scales of justice are tipped against me.
The weight of guilt the load is heavy.
It seems that I was born and trained to serve
At such an age it seems this is all I’ve learned.
In the peace there is a distant roar of thunder.
For life will turn and completely leave you in need.
And I’ll continue to be the tyrant,
The tyrant amongst the thieves.
