Echuca 06-03-2012

Went for a drive the other day through Echuca.
Was very much in awe about the amount of water that was covering so much of the land.
The people from these areas are really doing it tough and we city folk do tend to take for granted what does go on in the Aussie bush.
Apart from the port photo, the others are from normally dry land…
Except the last one… ’tis amazing what gets washed up sometimes ;p

Amazing shots mate, love that mannequin! What a random thing to appear.. It looks like a swampland, would never think this is Echuca!

watching on tv it seems kind of surreal and hard to really image the full extent of it (especially from dry Perth) – good on you for getting out there and facing the reality – fascinating pics plv :)

You weren’t there around last weekend were you? Should have travelled a little further and met with all the RBers at Junee!! :) Excellent documentation of the event Paul … you sure do find some strange bits of flotsam …

  • I did want to go further and explore more but I had the family with me and once we got to water covered roads… the “daddy” in me kicked in and we went back to the township and hung there for a few hours.
