Paul, this could be Rhana’s poppy field from another angle after harvesting. It’s like I’ve woken up after the stuff’s worn off and the colors have turned normal and have no idea how I got here… hey, where are my clothes?? Bear with me, I am going somewhere with this…

Your post processing doesn’t take away from the realism of this scene, and in fact I really feel like I am there, but just in a different state of mind. So you’ve presented a scene I might have seen many times, but now I see it in a different way. It’s sort of like what Mel’s stuff does to me, so you’ve definitely picked up on her inspiration. Nice work, and hope to see more from you in this vein!

how australian this is paul….really got that burnt grass look and feel to it….makes me remember those scorching hot summer days in melbourne….where the hot feels hot when you inhale it and the heat doesn’t abate….(can’t say i miss that heat thing actually)...but i do miss other things….

Thanks so very much everyone! I’m a little taken back by the positive vibe… I was definately hesitant about this upload only due to the post prod. I’m not an “off the stick” photographer. I really like to personalise all my images, so when I saw this finished I though, hmmmm, I like it but I’, sure there will those that turn up their nose at tweaking a landscape! Hey that’s ok too! LOL!
