This is beautiful Paul. The tones & contrast are excellent.
But it’s that sky that really brings it all together.

Looks like a mighty powerful storm of sorts is brewing in the background there Paul!

Perhaps ‘The Gods Have Gone Crazy!’ (ok sorry to be corny – and it was a crappy movie too)...but you do get the sense of power and wrath don’t you from the movement in the sky?!

Just one thing, and it may just be me, is the church leaning a little to the left? Was this intentional. As i’m looking at it, I feel like I’m leaning with it! But absolutely stunning piece!

Fantastic shot and treatment Paul. I’ve tried to shoot this location myself occasionally but nothing as good as this. BTW, it’s actually Newman College Chapel. St. Mary’s College is next door. I believe Walter Burleigh Griffin was the architect (he was for the rest of Newman).

Excellent perspective and comp. tonal range is just right and the PS addition of the sky makes all the drama in this photo. Well done.

Wow! A very apocalyptic sky. It feels like at any moment the monsters and demons are going to converge on the grand building below. Great contrast between the sharp building lines and soft sky (yet both soft and sharp lines convey such power and strength). Love a pic that can evoke so much feeling.

hmmm…..you know, I think I like the distortion of the wide angle better than the corrected….even with all this magic detail in the sky and stonework…..but that’s just me. What a fantastic sky, Paul, you’ve chosen the best day to shoot this building, that’s for sure!

This is really my bag.

Time slowed around the chapel of saint Bartholomew the defiler, the sky darkened and the fabric of the universe thinned. Tonight was not a night to be out without holy protection! for here there were monsters! The dark lord of the digital underworld had risen with shots to take and souls to break! his voice was a hiss, I will take your soul Villani and cast it into the pit of compact camera hell! where photographs are poorly focused and Photoshop crashes every time. Paul smiled, reloaded his DSLR batterypack and took aim! ‘sure you will devil boy! but see the day you try! make sure you bring friends! lots of friends! and with a flash from his holy flash gun the dark lord fled to the shadows and time once again flowed.
