Born from the earth into isolation...
- Imagine being born again.
Only this time your mother is the earth and you come fully equipped with memories, knowledge and a belief system.
What raw emotions are evoked when the first thing you are confronted with is an environment completely foreign to what you were expecting?
Fear, confusion, doubt and loneliness.
Or because of the new environment one may lose their inhibitions, feel joy or perhaps discover inner strength and courage.
Maybe the nine images are a true metaphorical reflection of the artists soul?
His background and love for the stage and theatre.
His longing to find true love and a wanting audience.
The ongoing battle of time and money between industry and creative
fulfilment.
Born from this earth, the series, everyone deserves a new beginning, a chance to start over.
- Was very lucky to spend some time over the Aradale weekend shooting with the gorgeous Kara Rasmanis

Wonderful image….....................it is a eerie place, there is a pressure that comes over you as you enter, your images reflect how I felt everytime I entered the buildings.

Paul Louis Vil...
Thank you kindly Barssel and you are very kind lightsmith! :D
Bruce Watson
Nice one PLV. For me, its evocative of some of the works of Paul Delvaux. The model is kind of ambiguous (a bit mannequin like) and this really adds to the atmosphere created by the lighting and composition.
Paul Louis Vil...
Wow, thanks heaps Bruce! You know I’m going to google Paul’s name right now don’t you!! ;p
earthairfire
How is it possible to make so many cool bits of art using nothing but a duct and an old building?! (and a beautiful model, of course)... Love it!

The shots you’ve gotten out of that trip are all really cool, but this one is exceptional – the compositon and lighting are really, really striking and powerful; you really get a sense of isolation the subject feels.
Paul Louis Vil...
Thanks so much Mel and Simon! :D

This piece is particulary poignant. It sits beautifully with the Red cape piece in colour and definition. Enjoyable….should be seen together in a frame.
