Paul Louis Vil...
Thank you Christine!! The path is cool! :D
Hello Kitsmumma! Thank you so much for your beautiful words! Always appreciated! :D
Hello Dan, HDR is just one step along the road to a final visual destination. Neating, clarifying, airbrushing, contrasting and softing all play a role along the way, what percentage i use of each depends on my mood and the image in front of me! I’m telling you i can spend hours apon hours working on one shot! :D:D:D
Thank you so very kindly Joe! The older and quirkier the home, the better!! :D
Brett Foster

Paul I live in Thomastown – just a little more north in an already northerly direction. There are some old blue stone houses around here and a handful of churches that are just begging to be photographed – and an old cemetery, the Carlton one is interesting too. But i think you are doing beautifully without my direction. :0)
Paul Louis Vil...
LOL!
I love your suggestions!!
I’m in brunswick and the architecture that surrounds me is varied and quite amazing!

Woodie
This reminds me of my 2 and a half years stint near Adelaide with the RAF back in the 60s.
Most houses still had red corrugated iron roofs and this house is like the one my best mate rented in Adelaide. I can’t remember a spire roof but the rest is the same.
I’ll be looking at more of your buildings to bring back memories.
Paul Louis Vil...
Thanks so much Woodie! :D
momleeb

Delightful effect ….
Paul Louis Vil...
Thanks heaps Brummieboy! :D
Marion Cullen
Fantastic! I really like your treatment of this, the processing adds a haunting, almost surreal effect. I do find myself wishing the two red, more modern, buildings on either side weren’t there, as their presence tends to mar the illusion. Unavoidable I guess. A wonderful piece all the same.
Paul Louis Vil...
Hello Lumineux! Thanks so much for the insightful comments! :D
I’m 50/50 about the two either side of the main subject. I agree with your sentiments but I like that they remind you that this beautiful structure is smack bang right in the middle of suburbia! :D
