Sunday July 8th, our first trip to the South Devon Railway 40’s weekend in the company of the Catherine, David, and Sue, and where we also had the pleasure of meeting for the first time, and it won’t be the last either, Bev. Luckily the sun was shining for this most excellent day.

Here we see one of the SW Re-enactment home guard participants leaning on a WW2 ambulance talking to Lynda Styan, who sings and plays the Ukelele. Edited in Sepia with the B&W version below. Please contact me should you wish to purchase the B&W version so that arrangements can be made.

Hi Richard , great series of which I like this one best ! Is there anything to be gained by a rotation clockwise to get the lorry closer to verticle ??

  • Hi Phil. Thanks for the lovely comment. I was thinking that myself, but a couple of things prevented me from doing it.
1] The vehicle was on a camber.
2] The people were leaning toward the vehicle with the ‘soldier’ actually leaning on the bumper.
