Holne Bridge by Country Pursuits

Friday 0909, saw members of the Legion group attending their first proper Friday Club meet, attended by Sue, David, Catherine, Mat and of course, myself.

We started off the day meeting at Buckfast Abbey then went directly to the South Devon Railway where we stayed for nearly an hour and where Sue, in Brief Encounter fashion, got a ‘Piece of Grit’ in her eye, which ended up quite bloodshot.
We had a spot of lunch then into the car for a trip around the SE corner of Dartmoor, taking in Poundsgate, Ponsworthy, Widecombe-in-the-Moor, then back to the Abbey for a look round before heading home.
A great day was had by all.

Thanks to you all for a great time and here’s to the next one.

What a beautiful bridge, looks hidden in all that greenery, superb shot Richard xx

  • Many thanks Pauline, and for the fave also. There were so many trees there so it was difficult to get a really good shot of it. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday. xxx

Lovely shot Richard, I like the grittiness of the granite bridge & detail of the bubbles in the water. xx

  • Many thanks Sue, and for another fave as well. May do one later of the view upstream, as I went up a bit further than you. xxx
