*A soldier falls and lays in the sand,
his comrades cannot help him,
as he is now in Gods comforting hands.

Like many before him,
and many more will follow,
the horrors of war, death, brings so much sorrow.*

A single poppy laying in the wet sand.

We shall remember them.

For all those who made the ultimate sacrifice and for all our servicemen and women who are scattered around the globe, especially all those in Afghanistan who are there to ensure that we live a free life, whether you agree with it or not. I am NOT here for an argument, just showing MY support for our brave troops.

At this time of year, my thoughts always go back to the days when I was a young radiographer at the Veteran’s Hospital in Montreal. A tiny man dressed in the uniform of white shirt, red tie and blue cord trousers asked me if I was English. When I said I was, he told me so proudly, that he had been one of “That contempible little army……..”

  • That was something special Jesika.
Many thanks for sharing this. x
