Met up with Jay for the Dawlish Air Show, 190810.
Here we see the world famous and number 1 display team
The Red Arrows, heading off into the dark grey cloudy yonder.
The weather was not at its best, grey skies and clouds 99% of the time, so I had to do something about the sky for a more dramatic and different view of this superb Aerobatic Display Team.
Thank you for looking, and I hope you like the end product as much as I do.
Taken with a Pentax K110D and Tamron 18-200 lens.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of—wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air….
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark nor even eagle flew—
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
