Windows 10 upgrade - One Week On

Morning all.

My third journal on this subject and it has now been one week since all the computers (1x Windows 7, 2x Windows 8) in my house have had the upgrade to Windows 10, and what can I say except everything is working perfectly, even the old version of Adobe CS3 which I thought was the one programme that I would have had problems with.

Here is the link to my original post about the upgrade with the part 2 link here.

If you are thinking of upgrading or still haven’t done it yet, then I highly recommend that you do it as I have found 10 to be much better, even on my old steam driven 7 Laptop.

Windows 10 upgrade part 2

With reference to yesterday’s journal regarding my upgrade from my old steam driven Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10, today I upgraded my Toshiba Windows 8 laptop and Acer Windows 8 Desktop computers and again, without any problems.

As others have mentioned in my previous journal, I highly recommend that you do this ASAP before Microsoft remove the free upgrade offer.
Just pay attention and follow the instructions during the upgrade and you just cant go wrong.

My main tip is once completed, run Windows Update and restart your computer 3 or 4 times and all should be tickety boo.

I hope this helps.

  • To give my old laptop a new lease of life, as I didn’t have much to lose
  • Curiosity as to see what the difference is
  • See what programmes worked/failed after the upgrade

Having another laptop with Windows 8.1 to fall back on if anything went wrong, I decided to dive in and see what happened.

First, let me tell you what programmes I have that were my main concern with regard to performance after the upgrade.
Microsoft Office 2010
Microsoft Outlook 2010
Adobe Photoshop CS5

Office
Worked ok but Word played up a bit. I had done some invites that I…
