My third journal on this subject and it has now been one week since all the computers (1x Windows 7, 2x Windows 8) in my house have had the upgrade to Windows 10, and what can I say except everything is working perfectly, even the old version of Adobe CS3 which I thought was the one programme that I would have had problems with.
With reference to yesterday’s journal regarding my upgrade from my old steam driven Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10, today I upgraded my Toshiba Windows 8 laptop and Acer Windows 8 Desktop computers and again, without any problems.
As others have mentioned in my previous journal, I highly recommend that you do this ASAP before Microsoft remove the free upgrade offer. Just pay attention and follow the instructions during the upgrade and you just cant go wrong.
My main tip is once completed, run Windows Update and restart your computer 3 or 4 times and all should be tickety boo.
I have just upgraded my old laptop from Windows 7 to 10 and thought my experience may be of interest to those of you who may be thinking of doing the same or may be a worried about leaping into a big change.
The main reasons why I did it were:-
To give my old laptop a new lease of life, as I didn’t have much to lose
Curiosity as to see what the difference is
See what programmes worked/failed after the upgrade
Having another laptop with Windows 8.1 to fall back on if anything went wrong, I decided to dive in and see what happened.
