WOW, this is amazing. The water does look freezing – contrasts so well with the blue in the sky. Where was this taken?

Lee, I did think this was totally not real… until I zoomed in and saw the goose bumps on your legs. This is a beautiful image – your balance of shade and light is wonderful, and though you did a minimum of processing you achieved a cool surreal look, especially in the overhanging tree and surface of the water. Amazing colors, awesome work!

Good question Lachlan!! It was a 10 sec exposure at ISO 100 at f20 with an ND filter and circular polarizer.. So you can see the movement in the skirt and hair.. Thank you!

was it a long exposure, for the water blurred nicely.

One thing to note for the post-processing:
remember that the water reflect the colour of the sky. So if you have selectively toned the hue of the sky, make sure to also tone the water a little. (did I assume correctly or mistakenly judged?)
