My idol
Well this truely did happen. I was a young girl dressed up for halloween and on the bus for the millionth time. I hopped on sat down and waited for the ride to end and the fun to begin when on the last stop a girl who usually just came on and sat down in the very back. Looking forward i saw a green cap then a green neck and then this giant shell! I was so suprised! And when she slide down that narrow aisle i couldn’t hold back a smile. She took up the whole back seat! and was the talk of the last miles! And everyone teased her but she laughed along. Now every time some event comes to dress up i always dress in a wacky fun costume so i can influence the younger ones and show them its ok to hav fun when your older!

That bore the tastelessness of the bland

And yet the first step always summoned
A feeling of a bright brand new day
Of teachers moulding their bright curious little students
My back was heavy from books and things
But my mind was always light
And the weight I didn’t mind
I stepped into my seat
Unwinding like a string from a reel
I’d done it so often it hardly felt real
Today was a special day Halloween again
A prize would be given to the best costume
And I had a costume I still prize to this day
Then upon the last stop on the way
As I sat staring ahead and the bus sat idle
Onto the bus my idol sprang
She marched down the aisle
With a brazen step and smile
Her costume was like a brazier
Holding a fiery flickering spirit
Who would not brook to the snickering faces
But was as cool and smooth as a quite mountain brook
I grinned and smiled my boredom broken
She turned and fought forward with the strength of a pro
I knew when we voted for her I’d vote pro
I could see people laughing in her face
Then turning green with envy at her wit and ease
Within that silly costume of a turtle most big and green
