From the ashes of our affection
Comes a new born rose
It becomes beautiful under your care
But for you it only grows
Knowledge of generations
In a young ones mind
Across the planet small worlds awaken
It’s their day now
The coyotes turned away and padded back into the darkness till all that was left of their presence was their melody of the night.
Then upon the last stop on the way
As I sat staring ahead and the bus sat idle
Onto the bus my idol sprang
The little hand withdrew and grasped his other paw. A shared laugh echoed through his fur and once again he swung to the cities rhythm. Slow at first but faster and faster with each new beat
And when I move on my story will stay unchanging
Because he left a trail for others to follow
Through his determination
I set myself next to her and began to read out loud translating the forbidden words into a language she knew and understood.
He seemed to feel right at home but my stomach flopped at the thought of entering Earth’s atmosphere. I had motion sickness and even a roller coaster made me feel sick…
For me Silence bows and graciously offers rejuvenation
He dances around me, a dance of grace and movement, not a sound
I just stand there and feel his presence swirl around
Smiles are like sunshine they can flicker and fade
through each passing day
then when all is sad and grim and still
they pierce the black and stave off the darkness
they warm what’s col…
Perhaps in a spectacular moment we feel for each other
We reach out, say hi
You a stanger… and i
The survivors all huddle, quiver, and shake
They lay down to sleep and most never wake
Mother Winter lovingly covers you in a blanket of snow
In return for her love your life you owe
Like flickering tongues solar flares lashed out into space as though to try and capture a taste of what is to come.
