I agree with Georgiana, a mysterious and intriguing composition.
Melanie Dooley
Are you making a story for us to read?
I like how the lady’s arm is holding a basket – quite incongruous considering her mask.

Mmmm…that’s true Melanie, perhaps it holds the key to the mystery..?

I get excited when I see that you have uploaded new work, and I’m never disappointed. I always love your collages, this is very Agatha Christie, I promise not to say that the butler did it in the library with the lead pipe!
purelydecorative replied
Aha! But did he have time to get to the library from the kitchen and back again, before not only the cook, but the housekeeper noticed…answer me that Ms Sparklehen! And if so, where did he stash the bloodied lead pipe…hmm?

But ahahahah!, He said that his limp was caused by a war wound, infact that was was where he concealed the lead pipe!(for 8 years no less!)
There is a concealed passage from the hall to the library(you know, one of those revolving book shelvy things) so he had ample time to get from kitchen to library, as for not being noticed, he was wearing one of the Dutchess’s dresses (which he liked to do regularly on a Friday night!)

So…hmmm, the lady in this collage is possibly not a lady at all, but Jeeves on a Friday night frolic?
But why the basket? Possibly it contains the lead pipe, cleverly dismantled into several smaller pieces ready to be whipped out in the hidden passage and re-inserted in his leg.
I see it all now!
Silvia Ganora
Interesting and mysterious composition. Well done!

love this… it would look great as a book cover….
Andrea Barnett
Very mysterious. The snippet from the novel works very well with the mood of the lady in the mask. And the red drops…OH! It’s like a murder-mystery. The lady in the mask, having the conversation written on the page commits murder in the garden while humming the tune on the music page…then…burns the house down?
purelydecorative replied
...hmmm, yes very possible, OR she burns the note sent to her by the victim to hide the evidence after she murders him in the garden while there is a masked ball going on in the house behind her…and then she burns the house down ( I like that bit).
