Can anyone Help! 40D Needed!!
Hello all,
Well I am heading away on Wednesday and my Canon 40d has decided to stop working (wont bore you with details..) and I am in DESPERATE need of one for my trip..
If anyone can help, or knows someone who isn’t using one for a couple of weeks please please contact me. 0438 263 243, happy to pay rent on it, bond, whatever it takes, I just NEED TO HAVE A CAMERA FOR AFRICA!

Not lookin to buy another one.. its only a small repair job but canon will take weeks with it.

Nothing open today, I will be calling around tomorrow though, but not holding any hopes of a fast repair..

If worse comes to worse, there may be somewhere down in Sydney that will hire out a camera for you. Hope it all gets sorted for you and have a great trip!

Yeah I found a place where I can hire, just need to check if they have one available. Then fork out $400.. wonderful! lol

Sorry – can’t help.
You can always rent one for a period of time – that might be your safest bet. You can always have it shipped to your location, too.

Yeah I think thats what I am going to have to do.. I have lined up a 400D, which isn’t bad, but its no 40D..

No dramas… Canon gave me a quote of $700 to repair, will take weeks.. I think I am going to just buy a new camera body..

buy a new camera now and then save and get the 40D repaired when u get back

Yeah thats what Im doing mate, will try and sell the 40D when I get back and make a bit back.. just sux as its an unplanned expense!
