Fantastic – I’ve seen a photo of a half scaled, half scaleless one too – absolutely mind-blowing! I think it was in Reptiles magazine (US version) a while back. You’re very lucky to see one in the flesh – pun intended!

The same as others from what I have heard, but I think the oldest one is about 4 years old so see what happens in the future

how close were you able to get to this fellow? the skin is fascinating to me….i can easily imagine how the texture would be…

Probably 30cm.. I have several reptiles myself and have access to most Australian Species at friends houses, this one was very friendly but always pays to be on guard, its the 4th most venemous snake in the world after all!
